This policy explains the personal data we collect when you reach out to Mulberry Learning — especially through our WhatsApp Book-a-Tour service — and the practical steps we take to keep it safe.

1. Who we are

This site is operated by Mulberry Learning Bukit Batok & Tengah (“Mulberry,” “we,” or “us”). We run two early-childhood centres in Singapore at 25 Bukit Batok Street 22 and 302 Tengah Park Avenue. You can reach our data-protection contact at contact@mulberrylearningbb.com.

2. Information we collect

We collect personal data through three channels:

a. WhatsApp Book-a-Tour service

When you tap a “Book a Tour on WhatsApp” button on this site, you are routed to WhatsApp with a pre-filled message addressed to one of our centres. The information we receive through this channel typically includes:

  • Your WhatsApp display name and mobile number
  • Your child’s age or programme of interest
  • Preferred tour date and time
  • Any other details you choose to share during the conversation

Some replies may be drafted by an automated WhatsApp assistant (“bot”) to acknowledge your message and schedule your tour. A real Mulberry staff member always reviews and completes every booking.

b. Enquiry form on this site

If you submit the form on our Contact page, we receive your name, email, mobile number, child’s age, and the message you write.

c. Site analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights to understand traffic volume and page performance. These are cookieless and do not track individual visitors across sites. We do not use advertising or behavioural tracking cookies on this website.

3. How we use your information

We use personal data only for the purposes below:

  • To respond to your enquiry and arrange your school tour
  • To send follow-up information you have asked for (programme details, fees, open-house invitations)
  • To improve our preschool offerings and the experience of this website
  • To comply with applicable laws, including Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA)

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data, and we do not use it for unrelated marketing without your consent.

4. How we keep your data safe

We take practical, defence-in-depth steps to protect every message and record we hold on your behalf:

  • Encryption in transit. All WhatsApp conversations are end-to-end encrypted by WhatsApp / Meta. Our website and the form on our Contact page use HTTPS (TLS) for every request.
  • Encryption at rest. Tour-booking records stored in our customer-management system, and email enquiries stored by our email-delivery provider, are held on encrypted infrastructure.
  • Least-privilege access. Only Mulberry staff who need to follow up on your enquiry can see your details. Centre principals and authorised admin staff have role-based access; the same applies to our WhatsApp assistant operators.
  • Audited third parties.We rely on reputable platforms (WhatsApp Business by Meta, Vercel, Resend, Sanity) that are independently audited and certified for security standards such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001.
  • Automated assistant guardrails. Our WhatsApp bot is scoped to school-tour conversations only. It cannot access financial information, government IDs, or any data outside the tour-booking flow.
  • Regular review. Access permissions, retention rules, and platform configurations are reviewed periodically by the team.

5. Who we share data with

We share personal data with the following service providers strictly to run the services described above. Each is bound by their own data protection terms:

  • WhatsApp / Meta— messaging platform for our Book-a-Tour conversations
  • Vercel— website hosting and analytics
  • Resend— email delivery for enquiry-form submissions
  • Sanity— content management for marketing content (no parent or child data stored here)

We do not transfer personal data outside Singapore unless the receiving provider offers a comparable standard of protection (typically via standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards).

6. How long we keep your data

  • Active enquiries / tour bookings: kept while the conversation is active and for up to 12 months after, so we can answer follow-up questions
  • Enrolled families: retention follows our enrolment agreement and applicable regulations for early-childhood education in Singapore
  • Analytics: aggregated and anonymous; cannot be tied to an individual visitor

When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

7. Your rights

Under Singapore’s PDPA you have the right to:

  • Ask what personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of any inaccurate data
  • Withdraw your consent for us to keep using your data
  • Ask us to delete your data, subject to legal retention rules

8. Children’s data

Because we are an early-childhood centre, almost all data we collect about children is supplied by a parent or legal guardian on the child’s behalf. We treat this data with the same protections as adult personal data, and we never collect data directly from a child through this website or our WhatsApp service.

9. Updates to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make a meaningful change, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of our services after a change means you accept the updated policy.
